You’ll love this quick and easy DIY project. Perfect for summer, this DIY Starfish Wreath brings a coastal or beach theme right to your front door. Made with simple and affordable materials from Dollar Tree, including adorable starfish crafts, nautical rope, and a grapevine wreath, it makes for the most perfect, charming decoration.
Here’s a simple guide on how to make this delightful summertime starfish wreath at home.
Supplies
- 18 inch grapevine wreath
- 2 packages of Dollar Tree Starfish
- 2 Dollar Tree decorative blue and white nautical rope
- Hot Glue gun or glue sticks
Instructions
Step 1
Start by applying hot glue to the backside of the wreath. Try to focus on a sturdy section of the grapevine.
Step 2
Attach one end of the nautical rope here on the grapevine. Then carefully wrap the rope around the wreath, adding dabs of hot glue as needed to secure it.
I recommend applying the glue primarily to the thicker grapevines to ensure the rope stays firmly in place.
Step 3
When you reach the end of the rope, seamlessly connect a new piece by placing it right next to the first, continuing the wrap.
Step 4
Dab some hot glue on the back of the starfish. Press it firmly onto the grapevine wreath.
Position it to stick to several grapevines, making sure it has a strong hold.
And that’s it.
