You are going to love this fun and adorable Halloween recipe! We’ve created Halloween chocolate bars inspired by classic Halloween symbols – Jack Skellington, Frankenstein’s monster, candy corn, and pumpkins.
These festive treats are perfect for gifting to kids, adding to a candy bar, or serving at a fun party. The combination of rich chocolate and white chocolate, topped with spooky decorations, makes these bars the highlight of any Halloween gathering.
If you’re hosting a children’s party, set up a candy bar station with all the ingredients so each guest can create their own unique chocolate bar. You can even get creative and come up with your own variations of toppings.
Here’s a guide on how to make these delightful treats at home.
Ingredients:
- 4 dark or milk chocolate covered chocolate bars
- 1/3 cup white chocolate frosting in drips
- 1 tsp. chocolate chips
- 1 tsp. coconut chips
- Food coloring: yellow, red, green
- Various Halloween-themed sprinkles, candy eyes
- 1 green skittles candy
Step 1: Prepare and Decorate the First Candy Bar
- Unpack the candy bars and lay them out on a board. Melt the white chocolate in a steam bath. Set aside half of the melted white chocolate for coloring later.
- Pour the remaining white chocolate into a piping syringe (or a new, clean syringe without a needle).
- Draw a thin line around the perimeter of one candy bar and fill the rectangle with white chocolate. Sprinkle 1/3 of the chocolate area with coconut shavings.
- Place the sugar eyes and chocolate nose before the chocolate hardens to create Jack’s face. Set aside for 10 minutes.
- Use a food marker to draw Jack’s mouth, scar, and the monster’s pupils and crooked smile.
Step 2: Decorate the Candy Corn Bar
- Spread white chocolate over 1/3 of another candy bar and sprinkle with coconut shavings. Divide the set-aside white chocolate in half.
- Color one part yellow and spread it over another 1/3 of the candy bar.
- Add a drop of red dye to the yellow chocolate to make an orange color.
- Top the orange color with candy corn and sprinkle with additional sprinkles.
- Set the decorated bars aside.
Step 3: Create the Pumpkin Basket
- Place the third candy bar on the board.
- Paint the handle for the pumpkin basket using white chocolate.
- Set this candy bar aside to let the chocolate harden.
- Once harden, Fill in the pumpkin contours with the orange chocolate and refrigerate the bars.
Step 4: Decorate Frankenstein’s Monster
- Color the remaining white chocolate green. Apply it to the last candy bar.
- Place a Skittle for the nose, use white chocolate for the eyes, and chocolate chips for the hair.
- Sprinkle with additional sprinkles, then let it chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
Now you can display the Halloween candy bars on a plate.
And that’s it. Happy Halloween!!
