Here’s a guide on how to make this dollar tree craft at home.

Supplies

  • (2) Star wire wreath forms from the dollar tree
  • 1 package of foam star scatter
  • 1 package of decorative shreds
  • 1 roll of star ribbon
  • Scissors
  • Twine
  • Zip ties
  • Hot Glue gun (optional)

How to Make a Farmhouse Patriotic Wreath

Step 1

Begin by turning the star wreath form over so the backside faces up, creating a basket-like shape to hold your decorations.

Step 2

Fill the inside with decorative shreds, adding a generous amount until it looks full.

Step 3

Place foam stars on top of the shred. For added stability, I recommend hot gluing the stars in place—I did this to ensure they stay secure.

Step 4

Next, cover this arrangement with another wire star form, creating a cage-like effect that helps secure everything inside. Use zip ties to firmly attach the two wire forms. Trim off the excess ends of the ties.

Step 5

To add a finishing touch, I crafted a simple bow using ribbon and wrapped some twine around its center. I secured the bow to the center of the wreath with hot glue.

Alternatively, if you prefer not to use hot glue, you can tie the bow around the inside of the wreath for a less permanent attachment.
