Supplies

  • Tissue paper
  • Scissors
  • Stapler

Instructions

Step 1: First, we should cut two rectangles out of the tissue paper. The size of the rectangle will depend on how big you want the flower to be. I used a rectangle measuring 15 cm by 30 cm.

Step 2: Fold the rectangles on top of each other in half twice.

Step 3: Locate the corner where all the separate sheets of paper meet (not a folded corner). Fold this corner down to the bottom edge to form a triangle.

Step 4: Cut off the excess part so that only the triangle remains.

Step 5: Open it up and cut along the folded edge to obtain 8 squares of equal size.

Step 6: Fold them, stacked on top of each other, in an accordion style.

Step 7: Staple the accordion in the center.

Step 8: You can trim the edges with different styles to create the flower petals.

Step 9: Gently begin to separate the flower layers by pulling from the center of each layer rather than from the edges. This technique helps prevent the flower from tearing.

And that’s it. You have now created an adorable tissue paper flower.
